The Eau Claire Community Foundation is proud to announce that it awarded $118,441 in grants through its 2017 competitive grant cycle. Most grant recipients received their checks at the Foundation’s Annual Meeting on June 7.
In this grant cycle, the Foundation received 65 grant applications and was able to fully or partially fund 51 of them. These awards bring the Foundation’s current 2017 disbursements through competitive and Donor-Advised granting to more than $2.1 million, including over $1.9 million in support of the Confluence Project.
Community support is vital for the continuation of grant awards like these, which help local nonprofits in their work to increase the quality of life for Eau Claire area residents. Grants are awarded in four major giving areas:
Create Culture (arts and museums)
Form Futures (education)
Give Green (environment, physical fitness, and animals)
and Offer Opportunities (food, shelter, and other basic needs).
The Eau Claire Community Foundation strongly encourages the public to donate to its Community Fund, which supports a diverse array of nonprofit organizations. People can also contribute to any of its 210 Funds or even start their own Funds.
