Come join members of the Women’s Giving Circle for their annual Spring Gathering! This year’s Gathering will take place on May 7, 2018, starting at 5:00 pm at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club (828 Club View Lane, Altoona, WI.) There will be a social hour from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, with dinner and grantee presentations to follow.
The Spring Gathering offers a great opportunity to meet members of the Women’s Giving Circle, learn more about their mission, and hear from the organizations that have benefited from their contributions.
In 2017, the Women’s Giving Circle awarded the following grants for use in 2018:
APPLE Pregnancy Care Center: Earn While You Learn, $5000
Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley: Adaptive Learning, $6000
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of La Crosse, Sojourner House: Bras for Homeless Women, $5000
Chippewa Valley Museum: Classes and Activities for Preschoolers, $5000
Feed My People Food Bank: Bridging the Summer Gap, $6000
Girls on the Run of the Chippewa Valley: GOTR Program Expansion, $4000
School District of Altoona: Altoona K-3 STEM Coding and Robotics Curriculum Based Program, $5966
Trinity Lutheran Church: Soles for Special Souls, $4500
Total Grants Recommended for Distribution - $41,466
Guests at the Spring Gathering will hear presentations from all of these organizations and learn about ways to get involved with the Women's Giving Circle. They’ll also enjoy a plated meal and treats.
The Spring Gathering isn’t just for current Women’s Giving Circle members; anyone interested is welcome to attend.
Tickets are $20 for current Women’s Giving Circle members and $15 for guests. The registration deadline is April 24.
