Women’s Giving Circle Spring Gathering

WGCCome join members of the Women’s Giving Circle for their annual Spring Gathering! This year’s Gathering will take place on May 1, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club (828 Club View Lane, Altoona, WI.) 

The Spring Gathering offers a great opportunity to meet members of the Women’s Giving Circle, learn more about their mission, and hear from the organizations that have benefited from their contributions.

In 2016, the Women’s Giving Circle awarded the following grants for use in 2017:

Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa ValleyHealth and Nutrition: Culinary Classroom and Kitchen Program, $5000

Chippewa Valley Free Clinic: Sharing Dignity, $5,000

Fierce Freedom: Hotel Industry Anti Sex Trafficking Training, $5000  

Girls on the Run of the Chippewa Valley: Investment of Heart & Sole, Curriculum 2 and Program, $1,000

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan: Trauma Services for Women and Children, $5000                  

Safe Sleep Task Force: Safe Sleep, $5000 

Trinity Equestrian Center: Finding Hope Through Horses, $5000                                                             

Western Dairyland Economic Opportunity Council: Women’s Business Center, $5000   

Total Grants Recommended for Distribution - $36,000

Guests at the Spring Gathering will hear presentations from all of these organizations as well as updates from the Grants, Education, and Membership Committees of the Women’s Giving Circle. They’ll also enjoy a plated meal and treats.

The Spring Gathering isn’t just for current Women’s Giving Circle members; anyone interested in becoming part of the Women’s Giving Circle or just learning more about it is welcome to attend the Spring Gathering.

Tickets are $20 for current Women’s Giving Circle members and $15 for guests. The registration deadline is April 26.
